This local and globally philanthropic organization, active in science, education, and community, required adaptable spaces that evolve with team size and working styles. The ground floor of the three-level building houses key shared amenities, including a fitness center, training room, and an all-staff dining hall while the upper floors offer open, flexible workspaces designed for collaboration.

ABOVE Atrium Area

The workspace layout maximizes natural light by placing workstations along the perimeter, with a variety of conference rooms encircling the building core to ensure both connectivity and acoustic separation. Supporting team flexibility are various informal gathering spots, private phone rooms, and video conferencing spaces, each tailored to diverse collaborative needs. At the heart of the building is a vibrant, double-height atrium that acts as a social hub, created by an expansive floor opening between the second and third levels. This central space, enhanced by a new staircase, cafes, and flexible seating, accommodates daily interactions and special events. Charcoal grey shingled panels and light blue accents carved into the walls and seating alcoves add texture and a distinctive character to the atrium. The result is a collaborative, inspiring work environment to reinforce the nonprofit’s mission to build a more inclusive, just, and healthy future for all.
