In order to encourage the next generation of woodworkers, Mission Bell participates in career fairs, conducts shop tours and visits local high schools to educate our youth on a career in the Millwork Industry. The yearly Excellence in Craftsmanship Contest is announced in the Fall, to provide career technical education students the opportunity to design and complete a project for Spring submission. A panel of judges from our Shop evaluates each entry, and provides feedback on each project. We then award scholarships for the top three projects to encourage a continued education path and promote woodworking at the high school level and beyond.
