In knowledge and skill based industries like ours, your chief competitive advantage is your ability to learn faster than your competition. At Mission Bell, we not only believe it, we practice it daily. That's why we have a Chief Learning Officer to lead our learning, innovation and efficiency efforts.
We're investing in both our people and in discovering ways to use technology to deliver what customers need. Our foremen are equipped with iPads and smart phones, and we have the latest software that links all Mission Bell departments together, so ideas and resources are seamlessly transferred.
With an eye toward the future, we strive to innovate and continue to improve our systems at all levels via technology like the IntelliStore, Bluebeam, 3D printing, virtual reality and more.
We have an automated material storage-and-inventory system, the IntelliStore. This robotic system optimizes material flow for efficient use of materials and space. In addition, we've connected it to our bar code labeler and panel saw thereby increasing our efficiency even more.
We use Bluebeam, a PDF creating and editing software, to transfer documents in a matter of seconds to each other and our partners.
We are able to print project designs with our 3D printer. Doing so allows us to visualize complex fixture items and share the 3D prototypes with our shop, architects, contractors and clients to ensure that we're all in sync.
We are in the early stages of utilizing Oculus virtual reality goggles to be able to see project renderings, as if you were standing right there in the finished room yourself. Keep checking this section to see our progress!
