Mission Bell worked with Level 10 Construction and Gensler to make HGST's 160-acre headquarters in San Jose a collaborative campus for helping people all over the world secure data. Major overall successes for this project include great communication between all teams, easy-to-work-with materials and keen organization which resulted in surpassing schedule goals.

Hints of this former industrial setting are both matched and enhanced from the metal and millwork Mission Bell contributed to this project. Refined metallic details in framing are made inviting by White Oak hand railing, Reclaimed wood accent walls, Reclaimed wood bench seating, white reception desks and cabinetry. Mission Bell's install team, in particular, was proactively involved with recommending changes in the framing that divides the spaces to make the work more cost-effective. The two reception areas have soft-white plastic laminate lower casework and solid surface countertops with waterfall ends to give the sharp metal features fluidity. Just behind these are accent walls, also found in the café and lobby areas, with random lengths but similar soft patinas for a rustic touch to the contemporary setting.

This site was formerly IBM who invented the first hard disk in the 1950s, and now Level 10, Gensler and Mission Bell have helped HGST to revitalize the original tech village of Silicon Valley.
